Stop & Shop is recalling some ground beef  and store-brand dried milk as part of  recent voluntarily national recalls  because the products have the potential to be contaminated with bacteria.

The beef products, which may be contaminated with E. coli,  include JBS Swift Co. 75 percent lean ground beef  (UPC 200084852), 75 percent lean ground beef Big Buy (UPC 200084851), 75 percent lean ground beef Jumbo (UPC 200084855), 80 percent lean ground beef (UPC 200087291) and 80 percent lean ground beef Big Buy (UPC 200087289). The meat was sold only at New England stores and had sell-by between April 29 and June 6.

The milk products are Stop and Shop Nonfat Dried Milk, 16-ounce (UPC 21120-00056, code - FEB 0511S) and 32 ounce (UPC 21120-00052, code - FEB 1211S). They were removed from store shelves because they were produced with nonfat dried milk that is part of a national recall by Plainview Milk and may have the potential to be contaminated with salmonella bacteria.

The company has received no reports of illnesses associated with the recalled items.

Customers may return unused portions to any Stop & Shop store for a refund. For more information, call 1-800-767-7772 during business hours.
