With impressive victories for both teams, the Waltham High track squads swept Arlington yesterday at J. Lee Gould Track.

With a 105-30 victory, the Waltham girls remain undefeated and extended their record to 5-0. The boys had an 88-48 victory to put their record at 4-1.

The Hawks took first place in all but one event. Senior Trisha Vasquezi won in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 55.1 seconds. Freshman Ivy Watts placed first in the 100 meters with a personal-best time of 12.6 seconds. Freshman Nadja Kern had a personal-best 2:33.9 in the 800.

In the 400, sophomore Sabrina Zottola placed first in 64.8, and senior Jessie Booher-Hendrick placed first in the mile (6:01.2). Sophomore Fantasia Brisson had a first in the 200 (27.8).

The boys track team had several first-place finishes as well. Junior Jannis Wollenwebber finished first in the 300 hurdles (45.1) and the 800 (2:10). Senior Dion Watts finished first in two events as well, winning the 400 in 57.2, and the triple jump at 40 feet, 3 inches. Jeremy Kacher placed first in the 2-mile (11:42), and Alex Ward had a PR 11.4 seconds in the 100 meters.
Both teams took first in the 4x100 event. The girls finished with a time of 56.1 seconds.

Ward led the way for the boys, followed by Nick Richard, Bobby Silva and Jason Genece in the 4x100.

The girls also finished first in the 4x4 with Kern, Watts, junior Dana Centofanti and freshman Katherine Sexton representing for Waltham in the event.

Wollenweber finished first in the high jump with a 5-11 jump, which also qualified him for the finals. Watts took second place in the same event (5-8). Jean Leger and Tony Frimpong finished second and third in the triple jump, respectively, (36-1, 35-2).

For the girls, Shannon McGrattan took first in the shot put at 27-10. Brisson finished first in the long jump (15-2), and Watts (14-7) and Vasquezi (13-7) finished second and third, respectively. Freshman Erika Shay had a personal best and finished first in the triple jump with a distance of 34-4, while Olivia Creonte (31-11) and Zottola (31-7) finished second and third in the event.

Courtney Keefe finished first in the high jump (4-6), and Kern's throw of 73-7 got her the first spot in the discuss. Allyson Hayden and Jennifer Tully finished second and third (69-9, 68-5), respectively.

Gladman finished second in 19.1 in the high hurdles, while Natalie Prentiss finished third in the event (19.8). Sexton (12.7 PR) and Creonte finished second and third, respectively, in the 100. Crystal Phillipeaux had a PR 2:42.1 for second in the 800. Shay took third (65.1) in the 400, and Kara Walsh took third with a time of 66.6.

Jeremy Grossman-Green finished second in the hurdles (47.1). Kacher had a second in the 2-mile (11:42). Silva finished second in the 100 (11.7), Evan Browne finished third in the 800 (2:20).

``It was a nice win for us,'' Waltham boys head coach Dan Keohane said. ``We had personal records, which were nice, and the seniors had a great night so it was very nice.''

The girls now head to the State Coaches Invitational on Saturday at Somerville High (10 a.m.), while the boys next see action when they host Medford on Tuesday at 3:45 p.m.
