Newton man charged with OUI
A Newton man was arrested Wednesday at 8:32 p.m. at 388 Moody St., according to police.
Police were called to a parking lot and found Joseph Venuto, 51, of 125 Pine St., Auburndale. After sobriety tests, it was determined he was under the influence, police said.
Venuto was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, a fifth offense, and driving under the influence of drugs.
Teen arrested on assault charge
WALTHAM - An argument between a brother and sister resulted in an arrest Tuesday at 9:44 p.m., police said.
Two siblings were arguing over a modem when the brother approached his sister with a knife in his hands. Mario Viteri, 18, of 3911 Stearns Hill Road, was charged with assault by means of a dangerous weapon, police said.
Police arrest man wanted on warrant
WALTHAM - A local man was arrested Tuesday at 1:17 a.m. on a warrant.
Joseph Stallings, 28, of 26 High St., was wanted on a Waltham District Court warrant for trespassing, driving with a suspended license and committing a moped violation, police said.
