Waltham man arrested on warrant
WALTHAM - A Waltham man was arrested Wednesday afternoon on a warrant, said police.
At 4:42 p.m., Juan Martinez, 26, of 85 Felton St., was arrested on a Waltham District Court warrant charging him with assault and battery, said police.
California man faces drug charge
WALTHAM - A California man was arrested after police stopped the car he was riding in early yesterday morning.
At 2 a.m., Hisham Mir Ali-Kahn, 20, of 2644 San Andreas Way, Claremont, Calif., was arrested and charged with possession of a Class D substance - marijuana. Police said Ali-Kahn was arrested after they stopped a car seen running a red light at the intersection of Moody and Pine streets.
The driver of the car was issued a citation for a red light violation, said police.
