Police: Man attacked ex-wife
WALTHAM - A Waltham man was arrested Sunday at 9:26 p.m. at 11 Walnut St. after police say he attacked his ex-wife.
The woman told police her ex-husband bit her elbow and scratched her during an argument over the remote control. Police said the man also put up a fight with officers while he was being arrested.
James Laporte, 44, of 11 Walnut St., Apt. 7, was charged with assault and battery and resisting arrest, police said.
Police: Man ripped officer's shirt
WALTHAM - A fight at Lowell Playground Sunday at 12:41 a.m. ended in in one arrest, police said.
Police said a group of nine to 10 men were asked to disperse but one man refused. Police said the man started yelling at officers, ripped an officer's shirt and knocked the officer's glasses off. Police said when they were taking away the suspect, another man told told police he was kicked by the suspect.
James Williams, 21, of 28 Craig Lane, was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and assault and battery on a police officer, police said.
Waltham man faces drug charges
WALTHAM - Anthoiny Trapani, 25, of 48 Pine St., Apt. A1, was arrested and charged with possession of a Class B substance on Saturday at 10:38, police said.
Police said they witnessed Trapani purchase drugs from a person in a car near 27 Pine St. Police said the car drove away when they approached, but they were able to stop Trapani. He was found with a bag of white powdery substance believed to be cocaine, police said.
Man charged with DUI
WALTHAM - Dionel Isales-Ruano, 26, of 45 Williams St., was arrested Saturday at 9:54 p.m., and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, drinking from open container in a motor vehicle, driving without a license and failure to keep to the right, police said.
Police: Man slammed wife's head on floor
WALTHAM - A woman told police her husband punched her and slammed her head on the basement floor. Waltham Police arrived at Newton-Wellesley Hospital around 2:19 a.m. on Saturday and were told the woman was seeing black spots in her right eye and had trouble hearing. Newton Police made the arrest and turned the man over to Waltham Police.
Paul Tully, 43, of 83 Hatherly Road, was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and assault and battery.
Waltham woman arrested on warrant
WALTHAM - Mary Wuonola, 20, of 291 Bacon St., was arrested Friday at 11:18 p.m. at Winter and Wyman streets on a Framingham District Court warrant charging her with possession of alcohol by a person under 21 and drinking alcohol from open container in a motor vehicle.
Police: Man threw mug at wife
WALTHAM - A Princeton Avenue man was arrested Friday at 5:26 p.m. after he threw a coffee mug at his wife, police said. Police said during an argument the man also threatened to kill his wife, pushed her and prevented her from calling the police.
Emil Vasilev, 50, of 148 Princeton Ave., was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, and assault and battery, intimidation of a witness and threatening to commit a crime. During the arrest he kicked an officer, resulting in an assault and battery on a police officer charge, police said.
Waltham resident arrested on warrant
WALTHAM - Walky Magloire, 23, of 100 Prospect Hill Road, was arrested at 46 Curtis St. on Friday at 9:27 a.m., on a Brookline District Court warrant for driving with a with a suspended license, police said.
Police: Rock damaged hot dog machine
WALTHAM - Waltham Police said they arrested two men and a teenager who threw a rock through a window at the Hess gas station, 70 Prospect St., Friday at 1:49 a.m.
Police said witnesses saw the suspects run and later identified them. The rock damaged a hot dog machine and the suspects damaged a fence on the property.
Frankie Anfield, 21, homeless, Christopher Finn, 17, 262 Crescent St., and a 16-year-old from 262 Crescent St., were charged with attempting to commit a crime - to wit breaking and entering, and two counts of malicious destruction of property over $250, police said.
