Man facing assault charge

WALTHAM - A local man was arrested after police say he pushed his father and waved a box cutter at his brother Monday evening. Samuel Duchatelier, 20, of 8 Mount Pleasant St., was arrested at 6:56 p.m.

Police said he was charged with assault and battery and assault with a dangerous weapon - the knife.

Newton woman arrested on warrants

WALTHAM - A Newton woman was arrested on two outstanding warrants Monday morning, said police. At 11:37 a.m., Beth Dunton, 41, of 4 Auburndale Ave., was arrested at 314 Moody St., said police.

The two warrants from Newton District Court charge Dunton with operating a vehicle with a suspended license, failure to signal, larceny over $250 and public assistance fraud.

Waltham man charged with OUI

WALTHAM - A Waltham man was charged with operating under the influence of alcohol after police say he ran a red light at Main and Bank streets.

On Tuesday at 12:45 a.m., Michael McGovern, 56, of 112 Villa St., was arrested.

Police also charged McGovern with a red light violation and having an open container of alcohol in the car.
