Man arrested on warrant charge

WALTHAM - Dayron de los Santos, 23, of 45 Kings Way, was arrested Tuesday at 10:22 p.m. at 175 Bacon St. on a warrant. The Waltham District Court warrant charges assault and battery, malicious destruction of property, and breaking and entering, misdemeanor.

Man, teen arrested on multiple charges

NEWTON - A Newton man and a 16-year-old were arrested after police went to 1639 Centre St. Wednesday at 1:13 a.m. for a report of a loud group.

Police said they found the Newton man drinking a beer and listening to a loud boom box. Jeremy Scudder, 21, of 106 Upland Ave., was charged with disturbing the peace and delivering alcohol to a person under 21. He was also charged with possession of a burglar's tool after police found a lock pick.

A teenager next to Scudder who was drinking a beer refused to give his name or an ID when police asked. When he told police he was going to leave, police stopped him and got his ID. He was arrested on charges of possession of alcohol by a minor.

Boston man arrested on OUI charge

NEWTON - A Boston man was arrested and charged with drunken driving on Tuesday at 5:57 p.m. after police found his van with two flat tires facing the wrong way on Parkview Avenue.

When police arrived they found a man in his car, leaning over the passenger seat. Police said that while they were talking to him he was swaying back and forth and using the floor to keep his balance.

Carmelo Catuilli, 50, 295 Market St., Boston, was charged with driving under the influence-liquor, second offense.

Woman arrested after traffic stop

NEWTON - Police stopped a minivan Tuesday at 5:15 p.m. on Lowell Avenue after a check came back showing the plates weren't valid. The Yarmouth woman who was driving was arrested.

Jeanne Transue, 61, of 34 Lake Road East, West Yarmouth, was charged with driving with a suspended license.

Peabody man arrested on warrant charge

NEWTON - A Peabody man stopped at Centre Street and Locksley Road Tuesday at 5:57 p.m. after police said he went through a red light was arrested on a warrant.

Manuel Capela, 36, 3 Perkins St., Peabody, was arrested on a warrant out of Woburn District Court for driving an uninsured vehicle and driving with a suspended registration.
