Waltham man charged with shoplifting
WALTHAM - A Waltham man was arrested at the Hannaford's grocery store on Russell Street at 6:36 p.m. Thursday, police said.
Risan Shllaku, 25, of 22 Winthrop St., was charged with shoplifting, police said.
Canton man arrested on warrant
NEWTON - A Canton man was arrested Thursday afternoon after police said they received a call about a suspicious vehicle on Austin Street.
Hovannes Mikelyan, 23, 214 Washington St., was arrested at around 2 p.m. on a Waltham Distirct Court warrant that charged him with unlicensed driving, police said.
Man arrested for assault
WALTHAM - A 29-year-old Waltham man was arrested at his Orange Street home at 5:13 p.m. Friday.
Brent Nelson, of 32 Orange St., was charged with assault and battery, police said.
Man charged with disturbance
WALTHAM - A 26-year-old Waltham man was arrested at the Tedeschi's convenient store at 10 High St. after creating a disturbance at 9:22 p.m. on Friday, police said.
Man arrested on lewdness, vehicle warrants
WALTHAM - A 22-year-old Waltham man was arrested on default warrants at 669 Moody Street at 11 p.m. on Friday.
Jeffrey Olivier, of 11 Bellevue St., was arrested on Waltham default warrants charging open and gross lewdness and unlicensed operation of a car, police said.
Traffic stop leads to drug charge
WALTHAM - A 20-year-old Waltham man was arrested after a traffic stop on Chester Avenue at 12:21 a.m. Saturday.
Wilfredo Vargas of 20 Adams St., Apt. 6, was charged with possession of a Class B drug with intent to distribute, according to police.
Police arrest man for unlicensed operation
WALTHAM - A 23-year-old Waltham man was arrested after a traffic stop on Bacon Street at 1:15 a.m. Saturday.
Ottoniel Vasquez, of 144 Willow St., Apt. 7, was charged with unlicensed operation of a car and a red light violation, according to police.
Man nabbed for shoplifting
WALTHAM - A 53-year-old Cambridge man was arrested at the Johnston Drugstore on Main Street after a report of shoplifting at 4:14 p.m. on Saturday.
Mark Batten of 47 Lee St. was charged with shoplifting $44 worth of goods at the drugstore, according to police.
Police charge man with OUI
WALTHAM - A 26-year-old Waltham man was arrested after a traffic stop on Weston Street at 5:05 p.m. on Saturday.
Jose Santiago, of 10 Dermody Road, was arrested on a Watertown warrant for OUI/drugs and possession of a class D drug, and subsequently charged with operating a car with a suspended registration, according to police.
Arrest follows accident
WALTHAM - A 35-year-old Waltham man was arrested on Moody Street following an accident at 5:39 p.m. Saturday.
David Cedrone, of 2310 Stearns Hill Road, was charged with OUI-alcohol, having an open container of alcohol in his car, and failure to use care when stopping, police said.
Boston woman arrested for shoplifting
WALTHAM - A 43-year-old Boston woman was arrested following a report of shoplifting at CVS on Harvard Street at 6:49 p.m. on Saturday.
Debra Johnson, of 39 Boylston St., was charged with shoplifting $33 worth of goods at CVS, police said.
Two arrested at party
WALTHAM - Two Waltham men were arrested following a report of a disturbance (a loud party) at 20 Gale St. at 3:30 a.m. on Sunday.
Edwin Torres, 25, of 248 Brown St., Apt. 2, was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest, police said.
Genesis Sanchez, 23, of 151 Adams St., Apt. 1, was charged with disorderly conduct, police said.
Police say man violated restraining order
WALTHAM - A 47-year-old Waltham man was arrested on Lexington Street at 9:36 a.m. on Sunday.
Efrain Garces, of 92 Robbins St., Apt. B2, was charged with violation of a restraining order, according to police.
Man nabbed on default warrant
WALTHAM - A 48-year-old homeless man was arrested at 545 Moody St. at 4:40 p.m. on Sunday.
Michael Norton was arrested on a warrant out of Brighton for distribution of a Class B drug, and another out of Newton for operating a car with a suspended license, police said.
