I find it amusing that Sarah Palin, the now ex-governor of Alaska, is complaining that the media are hounding her unfairly just as she creates yet another media spectacle for them to cover. Surely, calling a press conference to resign part way into her first term as governor is no way to act if one is looking to avoid media coverage. To bring the media in with a highly unusual announcement, and then claim to be the victim of unwanted attention, stretches credibility. Some of the political Right are now jumping to her defense, but one has to seriously wonder how they'd be reacting if this were a Democrat pulling these stunts. Very differently I suppose.

Independents and Democrats have not felt favorably toward her for obvious reasons. She still remains popular for now with the right wing of a shrunken Republican party. She does not represent and is not looking out for the everyday person in the U.S. as she and her supporters claim. Right now, she is most definitely looking out for herself. This is politics as usual.
