I have just finished reading the column in today's (July 5) Sunday Daily News Real Estate Section by Linda Goodspeed, dealing with a question by a consumer about the return of a deposit check following a home inspection.
I want to start by saying that Ms. Goodspeed's answer is correct, but I have issue with her choice of words with regards to the seller's decision not to sign the release of funds from escrow form. In her answer she calls the seller a "jerk" twice. She also refers to the seller as "stupid." I find this to be rather unprofessional on the part of Ms. Goodspeed. There are many other ways for a "professional journalist" to express these same sentiments. I don't think this portrays a very professional attitude for your publication.
