Wright: Milford and Nazi Germany

I fear for our town. I opposed the 'landlord' bylaw, Article 37, for several reasons, but mainly because it circumvented a probable-cause search warrant, superseding our Constitutional rights. That really scared me. Once a freedom is legally lost and the power to act upon that loss is thereby relegated to some governing bodies, we now have to 'fight city hall' to regain that freedom. We all know how difficult a battle that is. Then, it is only a matter of time before, one by one, other freedoms topple, which is exactly what is now happening in our once lovely, peaceful town of Milford. Not my problem, you say. Doesn't affect me, you say. Just you wait. That's what the German people said.
