It is very interesting to see how strange the media in this country is.
Recently, on the fifth anniversary of the war in Iraq, there were many pictures on the front page of most newspapers and on all three major TV networks of people protesting the war. Yet on Jan. 22, 2008, nearly 400,000 young and old people came from as far away as Missouri to Washington, D.C., to pray and protest the nearly 48 million helpless pre-born babies whose lives were terminated by abortion. No media covered this magnificent display of love for the gift of live.
In the upcoming presidential election, you can be sure the media will not tell you who is pro-abortion and who is not. John McCain is pro-life. Barack O'Bama and Hillary Clinton are pro-abortion, including late term abortions that many call infanticide.
I thank the News Tribune for printing my letters for many years.
The subject will be discussed, I hope, in the churches and synagogues with priests, ministers and rabbis who have the courage to speak on this issue. The argument that we must separate church and state no longer applies as we have seen with Sen. Obama's minister recently.
