WALTHAM COMMUNITY FARM, Benefit concert at Johnny D's
Johnny D's, 17 Holland St., Somerville, will be hosting a benefit concert for Waltham Fields Community Farm, on Tuesday, Dec. 1, 8 p.m. Featured will be Kris Delmhorst, Tim Gearan, Barry Rothman, Dan Roberts, Eric Royer & Sean Staples. All proceeds will go to supporting the Farm's education and food access programs. Tickets are $15. 21+.

WALTHAM YMCA, Pay the day
If you join the Waltham YMCA, 725 Lexington St., during the month of December you will pay the day - join on Dec. 1 and pay $1; join Dec. 15, pay $15. When you join you will also get a month free membership gift certificate to give to a friend. SPECIAL EDUCATION, Parent Advisory Council
The Waltham Special Education Parent Advisory Council will host its third meeting of the school year for parents, teachers and school administrators, on Tuesday, Dec. 1, 7 p.m., at Waltham High School, Room 118, 617 Lexington St. Presentation by David P. Riley, executive director of the Urban Special Education Leadership Collaborative will look into the latest information on Inclusive Schools in celebration of Inclusive Schools Week, Dec. 7-11.

AARP, Holiday Party
The Waltham/Watertown/Belmont chapter 3809 of AARP, an advocacy group for those over 50, will hold its annual Holiday Party on Monday, Dec. 7, noon, at the Joseph F. Hill American Legion Hall 156, 215 Waverley Oaks Road. A complete chicken dinner will be served followed by entertainment by the Waltham High School Show Choir. The Dan Howes Scholarship committee is sponsoring a fundraiser all day Saturday, Nov. 28, at Uno's, 155 Bear Hill Road. Uno's will donate up to 20 percent of your bill when you hand in a ``donation ticket.'' Dan was a 1993 graduate of Waltham High School and his scholarship will benefit a senior pursuing a degree in computer/graphic design.

PIE IN THE SKY, Funds programs for ill
Pie in the Sky, sponsored by Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage and Digitas, is Community Servings' annual Thanksgiving bake sale which helps fund meals and nutrition programs for the critically-ill. Now in its 17th year, Pie in the Sky involves more than 150 of Greater Boston's best chefs and over 400 volunteers donating their time, talent and resources to bake and sell the freshest and finest Thanksgiving pies. From October through Thanksgiving, sellers promote the sale and take pie orders. Each pie costs $25. There are pick-up sites at Coldwell Banker, 702 Main St., Waltham, and Coldwell Banker Newton, 1261 Centre St.
