A Bentley University student was stabbed inside one of the school's dormitories early Wednesday, police said.
A male student was taken to a local hospital with "non- life-threatening injuries," according to the university. He was listed in stable condition.
Two women, who are not Bentley students, were arrested.Sarah Monta, 19, and Breanne Fraser, 22, were being held by Waltham police. The student's name was not immediately released.
The stabbing took place inside the Fenway Residence Hall, the university said in a statement.
"This was not a random act as the individuals were known to each other and there is no threat to the community," the statement said.
