SCHOOL BUS DISCIPLINARY CODE
The School Department needs the cooperation of both students and parents to insure proper behavior and safety while riding school buses. Only on rare occasions has it been necessary to deny bus privileges to students for improper behavior. For your information, the policy for behavior on school buses is listed below.
Reports of misconduct while waiting for or leaving the bus will be investigated by the school principal or his/her designee. Poor conduct on school busses will result in notification from the bus company to the principal. Upon receipt of a written or verbal complaint from the bus company, the principal (or designee) will utilize this procedure:
A. First Offense – A letter shall be sent to the parents, from the principal of the school the student attends, advising the parent of the misbehavior.
B. second Offense – Bus privileges may be revoked for a two-week period and parents shall be so notified by the principal of the school the student attends.
C. third Offense – Transportation privileges may be taken away from the student for the remainder of the school year and the parents shall be so notified by the principal of the school the student attends.
Waltham High School Bus Routes 105, 108, 111, 115, 119 and 123 do not run outbound at 2 p.m. Students taking these buses must read the outbound schedule to determine which bus to take home.
All other afternoon dismissal busses have the same stops as inbound buses, although sometimes in a different sequence.

BUS STOP REQUIREMENTS
All kindergartners and first-graders must be accompanied by an adult at pick-up and drop-off times. If the bus driver does not see an adult then the student will be brought back to school. Arrive to the bus stop 10-15 minutes prior to the arrival time. Please be patient as the bus drivers are working hard to make sure your children arrive to school safely!
