An editorial in Tuesday's edition on ethics investigations contained inaccurate and incomplete information on the new system for handling ethics allegations in the U.S. House of Representatives.

The Office of Congressional Ethics has made nine referrals to the House Standards Committee (formerly known as the House Ethics Committee). As yet, the Standards Committee has made no recommendations on those cases to the full House, and none of the names of the members investigated have been made public.
