Beacon Hospice Inc., a Charlestown-based provider of end-of-life care, recently appointed Wayne Regan as senior vice president.

Regan has 25 years of experience in sales, marketing and management in the hospice and home health care industry.

At Beacon Hospice, Regan serves in a business development role and is overseeing the expansion of Beacon’s palliative care program called Navigator, as well as the hospice’s Ports of Care private duty agency.

Prior to joining Beacon Hospice, Regan served for eight years as president of Overlook Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice Services (OVNA), part of the Masonic Health System. There, he helped OVNA expand to one of the largest home care providers in Massachusetts and led the company through four major acquisitions, including adding Geriatric Care Management Services.

Previous to this position, Regan was vice president of sales for Skilled Nursing.com, national director of sales for Kindred Healthcare and regional director of sales and marketing for Neighborcare. In these capacities, he expanded the ancillary services divisions in the long-term care arenas for pharmacy, durable medical equipment and medical supplies.

Regan is currently vice president and board member of the Home Care Alliance of Massachusetts, where he also serves on the executive, legislative and image committees. In addition, he serves on the Lifeline National Advisory Council and the membership committee for MassAging as well as on the board of Baypath Elder Services.

Regan graduated from Ohio Northern University and the Raabe College of Pharmacy with a bachelor degree in pharmacy.

He lives in Holliston with his wife Diane and two children Kelsey and Elizabeth.

Beacon Hospice also has an office in Framingham.
